Jose Antonio Montalvo was born July 24, 1941, to Jose Manuel Montalvo and Maria Ester Guzman in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He left this life on Friday June 18, 2021
After “Tony’s” father, a U.S. Soldier was killed in action in the Battle of Anzio in Italy, Tony’s family moved to New York to be near family. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1960 and honorably served his Country until 1966, earning the the rank of Lance Corporal and a good conduct medal. He served in Vietnam and Morocco and worked as a master carpenter. He moved to Arizona later in his years to get away from the cold New York Winters. Tony met Catherine Decuire Lange while living in Arizona. They moved to Louisiana, Catherine’s native state. Finding himself still working in carpentry while there. Cathy and Tony later moved to Livingston, Texas to assist Cathy’s sister, Donna Olsovsky in the care of her husband, James, and an elderly aunt. Tony helped out on the farm. Tony loved animals, bowling, and Louisiana boudin. In his younger days he bowled in many bowling leagues. He is survived by his best friend and wife of many years, Cathy Lange; His wife’s sister Donna Olsovsky, neighbor Melissa Aubert; along with a host of relatives and friends throughout the United States.
He was preceded in death by his beloved pets; Pasqual, Baby, and LuLu. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 A.M Wednesday June 23, 2021 At Pace Funeral Home
