Shirley Ann Cowan was born on February 11, 1947, to Walter Roland and Martha Aline (Prior) Grady, in Hazen, Arkansas. She passed away on May 2, 2024, in Livingston, Texas at the age of 77.
Shirley was survived by her children, Tina Alverson & husband Dewayne, Michele Elmore, Chris Hinton & wife Rebecca, and Tammy Vasquez and significant other Jesse; siblings, Harold Grady, Charles Grady, Peggy Rhodes, Pat Grady, and Jim Wayne Grady; grandchildren, Jeremy Alverson, Shannon Alverson, Chris Alverson, Stephanie Alverson, James Earl Alverson, Katheryn Alverson, Micheal Elmore, Aaron Elmore, Anthony Gregory, Cody Hinton & wife Haley, Alex Hinton, Gavin Hinton, Starlyn Hinton, Seth Vasquez, and Alyssa Vasquez; great- grandchildren, Caleb, Charlie, Cheyenne, Ciera, Tyler, Hunter, Madison, Alayna, Andrew, Madison, Junior, Landon, Peyton, Emily, Gabriel, Jayden, Dax, Elias, and Roland.
She is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Lester Cowan; daughter, Patricia Gregory; brothers, Bud Grady, and Bob Grady; and great- grandson, William Pruitt.
A Visitation for Shirley will be held from 12:00p- 2:00p, with a Celebration of Shirley?s Life to begin at 2:00p, Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Pace Funeral Home, in Livingston, Texas, with Brother Chris Knox Officiating.
A private interment will take place at Houston National Cemetery, in Houston, Texas.
