Michael Wayne Murphy of Livingston, Texas born to James W. Murphy and Gloria Lyles on November 28, 1951, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at the age of 69 years.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years Gail; son, Darin Murphy & wife Amber, daughter, Elizabeth Powell & husband Michael; brothers, Mitchell Murphy & wife Verdina, Patrick Murphy & wife Dianne; three grandchildren, Layla Powell, Kendall Powell, Ronan Murphy; As well as many other loved ones and a host of friends.
Michael was a faithful member of Sunflower Baptist Church; he loved his family and was a true friend. Spending a lifetime in the woods providing for his family by logging.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents James W. Murphy and Gloria Lyles Murphy.
A Celebration of Michael’s life will be held at 11am on Monday, September 27, 2021, at Magnolia Cemetery in Segno, Texas, with Pastor Mitchell Murphy officiating.
