Cecil Rose, 89, of Onalaska, TX passed away on March 16, 2020.
He was born on March 21, 1930 in Nederland, TX to Cecil E. & Maggie M. Rose. He served his community as a funeral director, a Texas Ranger, a DPS officer, and retired as a Huntsville Prison Guard. He loved playing Blackjack, flying small planes, and being outdoors hunting or fishing.
Cecil is survived by his three daughters Chery Cooper (husband, John), Christine Stobart (husband, George), Colleen Neathery; one step son, Scott Adams; grandchildren - Mary, Dana, David, Tracy, Jen, Buck, Chris, Dustin, Joey, Julie, Beth; and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Elaine Rose, parents, and brother Don Rose.
Cremation is under the direction of Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, TX with burial arrangements pending.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Caring Hearts @ 156 S. Main St. Suite 300, Box 180 Lumberton, TX 77657-7882, or the American Cancer Society.
The family would like to thank those that cared for him towards the end of life to include the staff of Trinity Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Trinity, TX, Traditions Hospice in Crockett, TX, & Huntsville Memorial Hospital.
