Vivian Douglas Bankston, born July 25, 1946 in Houston, Texas, passed away on March 1, 2020 in Houston, Texas at the age of 73 years.
He is survived by his wife Maggie Bankston of 51 years; sons, Robert Bankston & wife Holly, Michael Bankston & wife Pearl; sister, Mary Hall & husband Jim; grandchildren, Kaytryn, Audrey and Alexander; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Doug is preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Frances Bankston; brother, David Bankston.
He was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the United States Marines from 1967-1969.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Pace Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Doug’s Life will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Pace Funeral Home with Pastors Dennis Hodge Officiating.
Interment to follow at Hensley Cemetery, Livingston, Texas with Military Honors provided by VFW Post 8568.
