Carolyn Joan Tullos, age 92, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026, in Livingston, Texas. She was born on April 20, 1933, in Kingfisher, Oklahoma.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Ada Meda Martin and Harry Leslie Barker; her beloved husband of 65 years, Billy Wayne Tullos; and her daughter, Tonya Renee Richmond. She is survived by her loving children: daughters Cheryl Elaine Rodriguez (husband Jesus) and Leanne Denise Decola, (husband Pete) and son Wayne Alan Tullos; as well as 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved the Lord and her family above all else. A lifelong Christian, she was blessed with a beautiful singing voice and a remarkable talent for playing the piano and organ. Throughout her life, she faithfully served her church by singing in and directing church choirs, playing the piano and organ, and by teaching Sunday School classes. In addition to her church involvement, Carolyn served as Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 1139, in Livingston, Texas, a role that reflected her commitment to service, leadership, and faith.
Beyond her devotion to family and church, Carolyn had many interests that brought her joy. She loved cooking and baking for those she cared about, sewing and embroidery, gardening, and bird-watching. She also had a deep love of travel and delighted in exploring new places, whether by car, boat, or plane.
Carolyn Joan Tullos will be remembered for her faith, her music, her service to others, and the love she poured into her family. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and the memories she leaves behind.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 22nd from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Pace Funeral Home 200 FM 350 N. Livingston, TX 77351
Service will be held on Friday, January 23rd at 10:00 am, also at Pace Funeral Home.
Graveside Service afterwards at Tullos Hill Memorial Gardens located at 1176 Tullos Loop Livingston, TX 77351.
