Funeral Mass for Rita Jeannette Hokanson, 89, of Coldspring, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Livingston, Texas, with Father Paul Kahan, S.V.D officiating. Interment is to follow at 3:00p.m. at South Park Cemetery in Pearland, Texas. A visitation will be Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Pace Funeral Home, until service time.
Rita Jeanette Balsam Hokanson was born March 2, 1936, in Houston, Texas to parents Peter Maurice Balsam and Jeanette Vidrine Balsam, in Houston, Texas and passed away on December 19, 2025, in Livingston, Texas. She is preceded by her parents, and beloved husband Ronald A. Hokanson.
Rita is survived by her children, Janell Lytle, Gary Hokanson, Steven Hokanson, and Greta Hokanson; grandchildren, Justin Landolt & wife Nichole, Travis Landolt, Vanessa Vatau & husband Mihai, Eric Hokanson, Steven Hokanson Jr. & wife Ashley, Christina Hokanson, Lynn Okanson & wife Felicity, Alex Hokanson, and Cupcake Hokanson; great- grandchildren, Charlie Landolt and Vivian Landolt; along with other family members and friends
