Charlie Jackson Choate was born on May 14, 1953, to Charlie Lewis and Mattie Jane (Barnett) Choate, in Texarkana, Texas. He was welcomed to his eternal home on October 11, 2025, by his Lord and Savior, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 72.
He is survived by his children, Abram Choate (Torri), of Brownwood, Texas, Micah Choate (Christian) of La Porte, Texas, and Hannah Reynolds (Wes), of Fairview, Tennessee; siblings, Leroy Dean (Carrie), of Houston, Texas, Louis David Choate of Cleveland, Texas, Geraldine Lowe (Norman), of Livingston, Texas, Samuel Choate (Stella), of Richmond, Texas; thirteen grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren as well as many other loved ones and friends.
Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Hattie Ann Choate; siblings, Gary Choate, Dow Choate and Laura Choate.
Charlie had a deep devotion to his savior Jesus Christ and a deep love of scripture. He and his wife Hattie opened their home to numerous people over the years and were mentors and supporters spiritually to many that God had placed in their lives.
A visitation for Charlie will be held from Noon until 1:00pm, on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Pace Funeral Home, in Livingston, Texas, with the services to begin at 1:00, with Wes Reynolds officiating.
