Juan Manuel Zuniga was born on October 8, 1972, to Juan Gellegos and Frances Garza Gellegos, in Harlingen, Texas. He passed from this life on October 1, 2025, in Houston, Texas, just shy of turning 53.
He was known for his infectious laughter and vibrant spirit. While we mourn his departure, let us cherish the memories and celebrate the remarkable life he lived.
He was a loving husband and devoted father to Angel, Yajaira and Yoselin. As a son, brother, uncle, and friend, he embraced each role with warmth and generosity.
Juan is survived by his mother, Frances Gallegos and father, Juan Gallegos; wife, Carmen Martinez Zuniga; son Angel Zuniga; daughters, Yajaira Alvarado, Yoselin Alvarado; brother, Jesus Zuniga Jr.; sister, Perla Martinez, nephews and nieces, Jesus Zuniga III, Tomas Lee Zuniga, Johnathan Zuniga, Kristina Zuniga, Frances Zuniga, Lizzy Zuniga and Edward Zuniga; grandchildren, Mason Sosa, Matthew Sosa, Noah Alvarado, Liletzy Soto, Teresita Alvarado, Ezequiel Braro, Yanely Maya, Javier Veraga, Daniel Alvarado, Madeline Alvarado, and Jaden Alvarado; as well as many other loved one and a host of friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jesus Zuniga; aunts, Gloria Garza Galan, and Maria de Jesus Garza, and uncles, Sergio Garza.
Family and friends are invited to join us in celebrating Juan’s extraordinary life. We will gather on October 4, 2025, for a Celebration of Juan’s Life at Pace Funeral Home, in Livingston, Texas. The visitation will start at 4:00 pm and the Celebration of Life will start at 6:00pm where we will share stories, laughter, and maybe even a few tears as we honor the beautiful legacy Juan leaves behind. We encourage everyone to come wearing bright colors to reflect the joy he brought into our lives!
