Lenda Ruth (Burrows) Robertson was born October 12, 1940, in Havana, Arkansas to Luther Lee and Bertha Ardelia (Bull) Burrows. She passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025, at the age of 84.
Lenda grew up in Havana, Arkansas with music as an everyday part of her early years. Shortly after graduating from high school, she moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where she met her future husband, Ronald Robertson. In Tulsa she continued in music, singing in the ORU choir and the local church choir. This would eventually lead to her teaming up with Judy Giles as a duet and making an Old-Time gospel album. After their marriage Lenda and Ronald moved and traveled extensively. She loved to travel and did so with Ronald to many parts of the world. Even after retiring they would continue to travel across the country in their RV.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed and relished her family gatherings. Her love and laugh will be sorely missed.
Lenda is survived by her sister Martha Frati, her sons Terry Robertson and wife Angela, and Gary Robertson and wife Michelle. Grandchildren, Courtney Robertson, Payton Robertson, Riley Robertson, Andrew Jung and wife Angel, Thomas Jung and wife Shirley, Robert Jung and wife Arica. Great-grandchildren Mason, Abigail, Annabelle, T.J., Elaine, Kimber and Max. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 64 years, Ronald Robertson.
A graveside service for Lenda will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Houston National Cemetery, in Houston, Texas, with Brother Mike Loftin officiating.
