Alan Eugene Bragg, (79) of Livingston, Texas passed away on May 12, 2025. He was born on October 30, 1945 in Clarendon, Arkansas to Harold and Reba Bragg. After serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1963 to 1966, Alan settled in Houston, Texas where he met his wife of 49 years, Debbie Bragg. After retirement, Alan was able to fulfill his dream of moving back to the country when he and Debbie found their home in Livingston. Alan was truly a Renaissance man in addition to being very artistic, Alan enjoyed hunting, fishing, and did all of the home and auto repairs (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, roofing, appliance repair, and small engine and a/c repair - all self taught). Alan loved spending time with his family, especially with his two sons Gabriel Bragg and David Bragg. Alan was preceded in death by his parents and his older brothers and their wives, Houston and Lavern Bragg and Woodrow and Gail Bragg. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Bragg, and his sons Gabriel and David Bragg, and by his younger brother Ronnie Bragg and wife Brenda. He is also survived by numerous other relatives in both Texas and Arkansas, including his sisters-in-law Peggy Jones, Bobbie Koenning, Patty (Pat) Mayes and Kathy (Gary) Preston, as well as his nieces and nephews, Keith (Susan) Bragg, Angie (Jeremy) Sheffer, Daniel Bragg, Matthew Bragg, Kim (Jim) Foster, Keri (Vernon) Crowder, Jeff Jones, Jerry (Ever) Preston, Brian (Christine) Bowlin, Brandi (Chris) Meyers, Becky (Jim) Siekierski, Brenda (Sky) Watkins, Laura (Lee) Huddleston, and Heather Jones and their children. A Celebration of Alan's Life will be held 4:00pm, Saturday May 17, 2025 at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, TX. Officiating the service will be Pastor Mike Loftin and Military Honors will be provided by VFW Post 8568. Afterwards, family and friends are invited to gather at his home to visit, tell stories, and to celebrate his life.
