His loving family includes three children, Betty Joyce Black & husband Kevin, Roy W. Smith Jr & wife Angel, Leonard Odell Smith & wife Tammy; sister, Mary Bibby; son-in-law, Irby Bolton; 11 grandchildren, David D. Smith, Dale Bolton, Josh Black, Katherine Black, Maranda Pomykal, Justin Pomykal, Bethanie Plumber, Desarae Smith, Leonard Smith Jr., Meagan Kirk and Brandon James; nine great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard & Ella Smith; wife, Carmen Smith; daughter, Mickey; grandson, Lee Burks.
He was a member of Sunflower Baptist Church and a Veteran in the United States Army.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until service at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at Magnolia Hill Cemetery, Livingston, Texas with Pastor Mitchell Murphy officiating.
Military Honors will be provided by VFW Post 8568.
