He is survived by his wife Maggie Bankston of 51 years; sons, Robert Bankston & wife Holly, Michael Bankston & wife Pearl; sister, Mary Hall & husband Jim; grandchildren, Kaytryn, Audrey and Alexander; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Doug is preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Frances Bankston; brother, David Bankston.
He was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the United States Marines from 1967-1969.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 8:00 PM, Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Pace Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Doug's Life will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Pace Funeral Home with Pastors Dennis Hodge Officiating.
Interment to follow at Hensley Cemetery, Livingston, Texas with Military Honors provided by VFW Post 8568.
