Glenn William Edenfield
June 14, 1959 – June 22, 2022
On Wednesday June 22nd of the year of our Lord 2022, Glenn William Edenfield…aka…Papa Diz,
went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Aged 63 years, he won his fight against cancer
in a peaceful ascent into Heaven. He was a long‐time resident of Onalaska, TX where he lived in
wonderful harmony with the love of his life…Wanda (Enfinger) Edenfield…aka Miga Wanda.
Glenn was a charismatic soul who loved to tell stories sitting with family and friends around a
fire on his porch. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a fantastic Papa Diz and a
supportive great‐grandfather. His life‐long career was devoted to carpentry and construction
where he created, designed, crafted, and built anything and everything. Glenn was also quite
the character whose adventures took him all over the country and even into the circus, where
he worked with horses, elephants and eventually became a clown…this is where he picked up
the name Dizzy (aka Papa Diz). If you didn’t find him working with wood, which he loved to do,
you’d find him with a fishing pole in his hand. He was his mother’s only son and a loving brother
to his four sisters. Though he did not regularly attend church, he was a devout Christian who
constantly spoke of God and Jesus and how we need to be the best person we can be so that
we get to live eternity with them in glory. Like his father, he was a proud member of the Trinity
Masonic Lodge #14 in Livingston, TX.
Glenn William Edenfield was born in Statesboro, Georgia to Henry Edenfield and Myrtle
Margaret Weller on June 14, 1959. He is preceded in death by his father Henry, mother Margie,
and stepfather, Romualdo Castillo. He is survived by the love of his wife Wanda Kay Enfinger
Edenfield and his sisters, Teresa Edenfield, Glenda Kennedy, Rhonda Kay Edenfield and Pamela
Mabry. By his son Lucas Edenfield, his wife Jennifer, and their daughter – Savannah Rose. By
his daughter Aimee Forey, her husband Ryan, and their children – Kaylon, Kolbie & Charlee. By
his daughter Shalena Rosas, her husband Anthony and children – Laiken, Loryn & Clay. By his
son Bill Goins, his wife Alisha, and their children – Emily, Kaylie, Braden & Talan, and greatgrandson,
Grayson. Also, his stepmother Ellie Edenfield. As well as numerous other family
members and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday July 3, 2022 beginning at 11:00 AM at the Pavilion
of Pine Harbor Estates Park in Onalaska, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that you
donate a tree in Glenn’s name to a location in Texas through the following website:

God Bless Glenn William Edenfield and all of his loved ones.
