Preston Osmie Phillips, born December 25, 1921 to Columbus Marvin and Ocie Ola Rogers Phillips, in Andaulusia, Alabama, went to be with his Lord on February 24, 2017, in Livingston, Texas. He proudly served his Country in the United States Army Air Corps. His loving family includes; his wife, Pauline Phillips of Point Blank, Texas; sons, Willie King & wife, Connie of Pasadena, Texas, Dennis Phillips & wife, Cathy of Houston, Texas; daughter, Tammy Farrell & husband, Buddy of Point Blank, Texas; sisters, Jean Hale of Harvest, Alabama, Rose Rogers of San Antonio, Texas; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Barbara Thorp; brothers, Johnny Phillips, Porter Jr. Phillips, and sisters, Marie Mucha and Frances Isles A Viewing will begin at 4 p.m. until the Celebration of Preston’s life at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at the Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Brother Robert Smith officiating. A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2017 at the Cooper Cemetery in Merryville, Louisiana, located 8.5 miles west of DeRidder on Highway 190. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Preston’s home church, First Onalaska Pentecostal Church, 264 Onalaska E. Drive, Onalaska, Texas 77360.
