Barnaby Bumblewick, local legend and the only man in history to successfully negotiate a peace treaty between a HOA and a family of stubborn garden gnomes, passed away on February 14, 2026. He was 87, or "three quarters of a century plus change," as he preferred to say.

Born in a literal thunderstorm in 1939, Barnaby spent his youth attempting to invent things the world didn’t know it needed most notably, the "Automatic Spaghetti Twirler" (which was unfortunately retracted after the Great Linguine Splatter of '62).

A veteran of the Great Pigeon Relocation Project of 1974, Barnaby served his neighborhood with a slingshot and a pocket full of high-quality birdseed. He later retired from his career as a professional "Cloud Consultant," a title he gave himself while sitting on his porch and telling passersby whether it looked like rain.
