Loretta Ann Sample was born June 20, 1935, in Glidden, Texas to Johann and Alma (Muery) Mettke. She passed away on July 19, 2022, in Kingwood, Texas at the age of 87.
Loretta is survived by her children, Lynn Shepherd, David Sample & wife Arretta; sister, Doris Mae Horndt; seven grandchildren, David Sample JR, Matthew Sample, Julie Peters, James Peters, Michael Shepherd, Tisha Shepherd, and Elizabeth Poppen; and thirteen great- grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Sample; parents; and two brothers.
Loretta’s Celebration of life will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas, with Pastor Harry Laxton officiating.
Interment is to follow at Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas with Pastor Wayne Bickley officiating.
