Marcelyn Antoinette Luther, born in Miami in 1927. She and her husband Derold Luther Sr. were married for 49 years. One of three sons preceded her in death in 2015. She has two other sons, Derold Luther Jr. of Livingston, Texas and Kenneth Johnson a retired pastor in Georgia. She leaves many grandchildren, nieces, nephews in California, Kansas and Georgia behind. She was an accomplished business woman, she was mastered in accounting. Her retirement years she was involved in community projects with the VFW Women’s Auxiliary. She worked hard as a Chaplin and received two years in a row Top Texas, VFW Women’s Auxiliary Chaplin. She had compassion and cared about others, she always told cashiers, waiters and anyone in doctor’s waiting rooms as she left or met them “God Bless you, I hope you have a blessed day.” Anyone who’d ask her how’s your day? She responded “I thank god for one more day.” She and her husband were best friends, never saw one without the other. She enjoyed all outdoor activities and loved exploring places and knowing about any one she met. Her husband would tell anyone she is an earthly angel in gods army. If she had written this she’d say to all of you, I hope you have a blessed day.
A Celebration of Marcelyn’s Life will be held 11:00 am Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Pace Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Reverend Roger Gragg officiating.

"My deepest sympathy to the family of Marcelyn Antoinette Luther. May you have many happy memories. The best source of comfort comes from the Bible.
We are told that we will see our love ones again. They will be resurrected back to life on Earth. Acts 24:15 Acts 24:15. Christ Jesus called Lazarus, he came out of the tomb. Earthly Resurrection. John 11:43,44"
