Vetal F. Bill Quackenbush, age 75, passed away Thursday, July 09,2009 at the Memorial Medical Center, in Lufkin, Texas. He was born August 4, 1933 in Davenport, New York, to Vetal and Bertha Hitt Quackenbush.Mr. Quackenbush was an avid bowler, loved to cook, garden and fish.He is survived by the love of his life, Ella, mother of his son,
William Quackenbush and wife Tony, three grandchildren, Suni Quackenbush,
William Quackenbush, Jr. and Brandon Quackenbush. Sisters; Veta B. Roberts of Utica, New York, Juanita McCullin of Wood Stock, New York, Elizabeth Atkins of Albany, New York, Donna Quackenbush of Oneonta, New York and Franie Fronckowiak, and husband John of Fleishman, New York. brother; Kenny Quackenbush, and wife Claire, of Charlotte, North Carolina Preceding him in death are his parents, Vetal Quackenbush and Bertha Truax, brothers, Clifford Lockwood and Harold Curran, sister, Helena Rion, niece, Betty Lou Rion.
Services will be held Saturday, July 18 2009 at Calvary Baptist Church in Coldsprings, Texas, at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Terry Holcomb officiating.
