Carmen Marion Smith born March 26, 1944 to R. O. & Joy Hitchcock in Birmingham, Al. She went to be with her Lord June 1, 2018 in Conroe Texas at the age of 74 years.
She was a Member of Sunflower Baptist Church and loved being a wife ,momma and grandma.
Carmen’s loving family includes husband of 54 years, Roy Smith; four children, Carmen Michell Bolton & husband Irby, Betty Joyce Black & husband Kevin, Roy W. Smith Jr & wife Angel, Leonard Odell Smith & wife Tammy; brother Mitchell L Hitchcock; sister, Barbara Rowena King & husband Willie; 11 grandchildren, David D. Smith, Dale Bolton, Josh Black, Katherine Black, Maranda Pomykal, Justin Pomykal, Bethanie Plumber, Desarae Smith, Leonard Smith Jr., Meagan Kirk and Brandon James; nine great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents R.O. & Joy Hitchcock; brother, Chester Hitchcock and grandson Lee Burks.
A visitation will be held from 5pm till 8pm Monday, June 4, 2018 at Pace Funeral Home, Livingston, Texas.
A Celebration of Carmen’s Life will begin at 10am Tuesday, June 5, 2018 also at Pace Funeral Home with Pastor Mitchell Murphy officiating.
Interment to follow at Magnolia Hill Cemetery in Segno, Texas.
