Edith Odessa McCarty, age 86, was born April 11, 1923 and went to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 18, 2009.
Her favorite hobbies were working in her flower and vegetable gardens, fishing and hunting with her husband.
She is survived by her sons, Ray McCarty and wife Linda of Livingston, and Ronnie McCarty and wife Julie of Decatur; stepson, Pat McCarty and wife Joyce, six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; eleven step-grandchildren.
Mrs. McCarty is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond P. McCarty and parents William Apperson and Jennie Isaacs Shirley, great grand daughter, Frankie Daniel McCarty.
The Graveside service was at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Boldsprings Cemetery, Pastor, Joel Salazar officiated. The family received friends from 6:00-9:00 PM, Monday, at Pace Funeral Home.
