"I have just now found this obit. I'm so sorry that this side of the family did not know about his passing in November. As a pre-school age child, I remember Robert and my older brother flying homemade kites and playing with slingshots. Our two families were close at that time. After Robert married his lovely wife, they attended one of the Spence reunions I hosted. Then, Betty often corresponded by e-mail. I know you, his immediate family miss him. I, too, am saddened by his passing. We will meet again someday."

"We love and will miss our Uncle. My mom and their mother were standing beside The Lord to welcome him. They had been separated far too long. Our hugs and love to Auntie and cousins and their families."
