James Earl Hopkins, born August 15, 1938 to James and Modree Baker Hopkins in Midway,Texas, went to be with his Lord, March 23, 2017 in Lufkin, Texas, at the age of 78 years.
His family includes; his loving wife of 41 years, Linda Hopkins; children, Larry Hopkins, Mellissa Hopkins Bass, James Ray Hopkins, Jamie Gail Hopkins, ; brothers, John Wayne Hopkins & wife, Kathy, Harold Dean Hopkin & wife, Karen, Willie Jean Hopkins, Charlie Hopkins & wife, Joyce; sisters, Sarah Donahue & husband, Woodrow, Maryann Marla, Marie Driver & husband, Jimmy; seven grandchildren, Courtney Franklin, Ariel Bass, Charles Bass, Lauryn Hopkins, Tanner Hopkins, Kathryn Hopkins, Landon; Hopkins; and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
James is preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Dixie May, Pearl, Irene, and Evadale.
