M.C. Buddy Helms, born September 17, 1929 to Buster and Janie Jones Helms in Rosco, Texas, went to be with his Lord on February 17, 2017, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 87 years.
He was a faithful member of the Schwab City Baptist Church in Livingston, Texas.
Buddy’s family included; sons, Larry Helms & wife, Karen, Dennis Helms; brother, Billy White; sister, Patsy Creel, Wilma Trout; sister-in-law, Hilda Helms two grandchildren, Gary Helms, Christopher Helms; one great grandchild, Maddie Helms; and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elizabeth Helms; sisters, Joyce Burg; and one brother, Doyle Helms
A Visitation will be held on Monday, February 20, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Pace Funeral Home, Livingston, Texas. Celebration of Buddy’s life will begin on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Pace Funeral Home with Pastor David Jones officiating. Interment to follow at Restland Memorial Park Cemetery.
