Jo Anne Strickland, age 71, passed away at her residence, Wednesday, December 24, 2008. Mrs. Strickland was born July 17, 1937 in Florida, to Travis and Sadie Cochran.
A celebration of Jo Annes life was held at Pace Funeral Home, Saturday, December 27, 2008, at 10:00 AM, with Pastor Cris Borden and Robert Hogan officiating. Burial was in Peebles Cemetery. Visitation was Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
Her survivors are sons, Shannon Strickland, Gregory Strickland and Derek Strickland; daughter, Katrina Murphy; brothers, Eugene Cochran and Phillip Cochran; sisters, Sharon Hood and Judy Lucas; mother, Sadie Cochran; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death is her father Travis Cochran.
Pallbearers were Ralph Hollenbeck, Pierce Prater, Trent Strickland, Nathan Livermore, Clark Strickland and Steven Grimm. Honorary pallbearers were Phillip Cochran, Roy Burch, Weldon Lucas, Eugene Cochran, Vance Murphy and Elmer Hood.
