"Dear Mom:

Allowing me to take care of you the last three years and four months of your life, was a gift given. Your beauty, faith, strength and love, touched and filled me. You became the matriarch of St. Josephs parish, Lake Livingston Estates 3 Community, your Texas family, and the Mom of your caregivers.

I asked for a way to show my gratitude for a wonderful childhood, and adult family, and my request was answered. I am forever grateful for you showing me the way to eternal life, for conquering your fears through faith, and for demonstrating loving patience: accepting all with wisdom and understanding.

The apartment you never believed was yours, is empty now. Its future will be filled with your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as they visit. The memory of you will always live within these walls.

You smiled as you crossed that instant in time to eternity. That smile created a quiet strength in me, that I will remember when it is time for me to make that same journey. Until we meet again, I love you,

Peggy
