Emma Grace Hill was born July 29, 1955 in Livingston, TX to Robert (Bob) and Louise (Nancy) Hill and passed away July 21, 2016 in Houston,TX.
Emma was our very own “Amazing Grace”. She was a teacher, mother and friend to anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She had a close relationship with God and loved her family and friends fiercely. Emma lived with more than her fair share of illness and pain but always was more concerned with other people and how she could make things better for them than she was of herself.
Emma loved to read, do crafts and spend time with her family. She was a second mother to any child, friend or family who needed her. She told stories, shared God’s word, sang songs and most of all just showered everyone around her with pure, unconditional love.
Emma’s passing leaves a deep sadness in us, but we rejoice that Heaven has such a beautiful new angel to watch over us all.
She is survived by her children, Michelle Phillips and James and Sunyoung (Kelly) Shin; sisters in and brothers, Florence McCamy, Robert (Buddy) Hill, Louise and John Hampton, Thomas Hill, Patricia Hill and Jonathan Hill; dozens of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
Emma is proceeded in death by her grandparents, parents, brother John Amos and sisters-in-law Shannon Francis and Karen Hill.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 24, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. Celebration of Life will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 25, 2016 at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Pastor Curtis Mathis officiating.
