Charles Robert “Bob” Hilland

"Bob and I were Texas A&M classmates of '58, but we were also friends that worked and studied together until we graduated. Over the years we kept in touch and visited in each other’s homes. Bob is truly one of the “good old Texas boys” and he will be missed. My thoughts go out to his family."

"My prayers and deepest sympathy for the entire family and friends. I remember when Bob and Wendy were at Jeff & April's home in Cypress, TX and we were all going out for dinner. Alex and Andi were little and Alex said something to Bob and Bob cracked up. I kept asking him what Alex said and he just kept laughing. I know he will be greatly missed and cherished by his family"

"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear."

"Ok, I have to share just one fond memory. I think Jeff and Jere were off at school. Mr. Hilland and I sat in the hot tub and shared a 50-year-old bottle of Seagrams 7. We had more than a couple on the rocks, it was delicious! He told me stories about when he was young, and I probably ratted you out Jeff for something. In my defense, I probably thought it was funny at the time. Also, I was a bit tipsy, and It wasn't at Thanksgiving Dinner with all of your relatives. Which is a completely different story...."

"I could write pages of cool memories about Mr. Hilland. I'll just say this he treated me like one of his own kids. Jeff,Jerry I loved your Dad and Mom as much as my own. I will miss them both as I miss you."

"Bob was a good man and a good friend. I will miss his warm smile and firm handshake along with is sense of humor. Happy Trails, Bob... sleep well my friend..."

"My thoughts and prayers are with Uncle Bob's family. He was one of a kind and
will be missed by all who knew him. He had a unique talent of getting right
to the center of a problem or situation and stating it so simply and easy to understand....yet always refrained from adding something sarcastic at the end. He could understand but didnt make you feel dumb by not unseratanding it as quickly as he did. He had a great sense of humor and love for life. He was so proud of his sons and grandkids. I never met his new family but am sure he was
equally proud of them. I hope he and my Dad are having a few laughs and watching over us all."

"Uncle Bob was a smart, kind, funny man. He will be missed by many. Fond memories with Bob and his family in Houston years ago.
