Bert L. Whisenhunt, born August 14, 1937 to Lois Martin and Evelyn Hendrix Whisenhunt in Polk County, Texas, went to be with his Lord on March 28, 2016 in Humble, Texas at the age of 78 years.
Bert’s loving family includes: his beloved wife of 58 years, Mary Ellen; three sons, Derral Whisenhunt Sr. & wife Barbara, Rodger Dale Whisenhunt, David Whisenhunt & wife Tina all of Livingston, Texas; two sisters, Laverne Taylor & husband, Marvin of Livingston, Texas, Linda Ray & husband Chip of Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren; Derral Whisenhunt Jr. (DJ) & wife, Brandy, Denise Whisenhunt, Tessa Whisenhunt, Jennifer Whisenhunt, Brittany Tinney, Kayla Hodge & husband, Doyle, Kimberly Whisenhunt, Bailey Whisenhunt, Derick Whisenhunt; fifteen great- grandchildren; Kailee Whisenhunt, Kelton Whisenhunt, Blake Whisenhunt, Bradley Henderson, Braydon Britton, Klynn Whisenhunt, Remi-Jean Hodge, Gabril Whisenhunt, Hannah Hodge, Brantly Hodge, Khloe Hodge, Andrew Tinney, Jordan Whisenhunt, Evan Tinney, Kevin Tinney; and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Darlene Mathisen, daughter, Kimberly Denise Whisenhunt, and his infant brother.
Celebration of Bert’s Life will be held Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Beech Creek Assembly of God in Livingston, Texas with Pastor Don Goodwin officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the Pace Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Interment will be at the Camp Ruby Cemetery in Livingston, Texas.
