"Our Grandpa Harry was an incredible man. He's in Heaven celebrating the ultimate reunion of all his many loved ones and friends lost prior. We wish he was still here swinging on his porch, quizzing us on the capitals, and telling his stories. I have so many childhood memories of him that I will cherish forever. And his service to our county inspired my service in the Navy. I'm so grateful my kids got to know him and also have loving memories of times spent with him laughing, giving knuckle sandwiches, and having that mysterious tap on the shoulder only to have him quickly turn his head away and play like he didn't do it. We wish these times could go on forever, but it's time for him to rest and be renewed in the ways that only the Good Lord can restore. We are all better for having known him. They just don't make them like that anymore. It's my hope that my son grows up to be like him one day, my daughters share a bond with their own Dad such as we witnessed between my Mom and Grandpa Harry, and we all strive to be as kind and gentle as he was. I will miss him so much.

"I was so saddened when I heard the news that Mr. Ulsrud had passed. But, I know he suffered for some time. He is finally at peace. He was one of the best things that ever happened to Nora. He was a gentle spirit and will be greatly missed by his family and all those who knew him. I am sure he is teaching the angels how to play horseshoes.
