"I just love that picture of Tom. It is exactly the way i will always remember him. He loved the outdoors and working with his hands. He also loved serving friends and family and had a special unassuming way of doing so. He meant so much to my late grandparents, Emerald and Cheskey Scott and of course to us and my parents, Reed and Peggy Ferguson. Due to my father's health we were so sad to miss his memorial service. He will be greatly missed by us and countless others. The white fence he built before Emerald passed still stands around our farm house and is a reminder of Tom every time we go to seek solitude away from the city. Something i know he would smile about. I also will never forget Tom and Tom Jr. helping me buy the two horses for my girls and getting the barn in order. He was so generous to us. We are so sorry for your loss."

"For My father Tom Mainer III,

You have been such an amazing man. No saint that is for sure, but envied by most. You have encouraged each of your children and grandchildren to pursue their dreams at all cost. This was not done by only words as you sat on the porch of any of the many homes you provided for us, but by your own actions. We have all watched as you have gone for millionaire to mountian man over night and stood watching in awe. You offered a whole family a life of adventure and for those of us who stuck with you had our lives changed in front of our own eyes. You offered a life that some only dream of, and most can not even dream that big. Thank you so much for all the love and support you have shown me and my children. I find myself being hit with grief so hard I have to stop and catch my breath. I will miss you more than I can put into words.
I have only felt grief like this one time in my life and that was when I was 9 yrs old and my natural father Les Stewart pasted away. But I know now I have 2 guardian angles working together to keep us all going with faith and love.
I love you,
Cari"
