Velma K. Bailey, born December 20, 1922 in Fequa, Texas, died August 30, 2008 in a hospital in Lufkin, Texas at the age of 85 years. She was a member of the Holly Grove Baptist Church. Her loving family includes, husband, L.V. Bailey; daughter, Dorothy Parkinson; grandchildren, Steffeni Machicek husband Clarence and Stacey Nethery husband Bryan; great-grandchildren, Kristen Warford husband Brandon, Kandace Machicek, Taylor, Collin and Cody Nethery. A visitation will be held Sunday, August 31, 2008 from 5pm till 8pm at Pace Funeral Home. A Celebration of Velmas Life will begin at 10am Monday, September 1, 2008 at Pace Funeral Home with Pastor, Billy Bradken Mr. Anthony Rhodes officiating. Interment to follow in Holly Grove Cemetery.
