"Ahh Chico...my head is spinning, utterly heartbroken by this news. I'm so sorry that we lost contact with each other, I've wondered about you, Debra and the kids over the years, but my God, I never would of thought you'd be the one that passed on first. It's hard to believe it's been over four years since you passed but today July 12, 2019 is the first I heard about it. I was so surprised when I saw your name and face on Facebook the other day, I knew I had to reach out and "find" you. Of course I just joined Facebook several months ago, and realize now how much I've missed.

We lived a lot of life back in the early '70's, didn't we. From the time we met while taking courses at Northern Virginia Community College in Manassas, Va., to becoming housemates in Thoroughfare, Va...remember that summer? Being veterans, we had all the branches of the military accounted for in that house, except for the Navy. As I recall, your brother David stopped by often, we had some good times there. I've mentioned you many times to friends, especially your expertise as a mechanic. You could sure do wonders with that old VW bus, I remember you dropping that engine by the side of the road, having it fixed and back in place in no time. Remember that trip down to the Smokies? That was fun!

I hope the funeral home will forward this note to Debra, David and Dorlene with my deepest condolences. Rest in Peace my friend, may God bless you and your family. Love you brother!

Patrick"

"Richard and I were best of friends during Jr. High and High School in Arlington Virginia. He lived a few blocks from me. We had a lot in common since we are both from military families. Richard joined the Air Force about the same time I joined the Navy. We have talked on the phone a few times in the last couple years but this is the first I've heard of his passing. He was a really nice guy and I have thought about him a lot over the years."

"I knew when he lived in Arlington Virginia...he lived literally around the corner and we hung out often. He also worked at my parent's restaurant (as a dishwasher) and was an all around sweet guy. Although we connected sometime ago on Facebook, today, 12/22/15 was the first I learned of his passing. May he rest in peace."
