Velma Billie Burkett born on March 14, 1932 in Leggett, Texas to Mark William Penry and Lila Mae Wells Penry, went to be with her Lord on November 7, 2014 in Conroe, Texas at the age of 82. Those left to cherish her memory are sons, Marvin Lee Burkett Sr., James Ray Burkett wife Linda brother, Mark William Penry grandchildren, Curtis Burkett wife Jennifer Lynn, Lee Burkett wife Jennifer Lea, Kimberly Burkett Dorn, Timothy Burkett US Army, Amanda Moore husband Brad great grandchildren, Amy Burkett, Hunter Burkett, Brittany Burkett, Brandy Burkett, Trista Burkett, Page Burkett, Kenneth Burkett, Whitley Moore, Wesly Moore, D.J. Dorn, Christopher Dorn, Derek Dorn and Eric Dorn numerous other relatives and a host of dear friends her family at Soda Baptist Church Billie was preceded in death by both her parents husband, Loyd Burkett son, Billy Burkett brother, Johnie Penry sisters, Dorothy Arnold husband John, Lola Arnold husband Jack grandson, John Paul Burkett great grandson, James Turner Billie loved her family and friends very much and will be missed dearly. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 9, 2014 from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Pace Funeral Home 200 Fm 350 North, Livingston, Texas. A Celebration of Billies life will be held on Monday, November 10, 2014 at Soda Baptist Church, 8135 190 East, Livingston, Texas at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Wayne Bickley officiating. Pallbearers will be Lee Burkett, Curtis Burkett, Dallas Dorn Jr., Brad Moore, Cody Whipple, Pat Watson Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Hambrick, Wayne Woods, Bryan Ramsey, Little Johnie Penry and Jesse Whipple.
