Merlin David Ivie, born on September 9, 1950 in Houston, Texas to Coleman Chester Ivie Jr. and Joyce Juanita Tice Ivie, passed away on May 12, 2014 at the age of 63. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 40 years, Kathleen Ward Ivie mother, Joyce Juanita Ivie, children, David Aaron Ivie, Michelle Denise Ivie Washington and husband James, Anna Belle Ivie and Joshua Christopher Ivie brother, Mark Allen Ivie sister, Rebecca Sue Ivie numerous other relatives and a host of friends. David was preceded in death by his father brothers, Michael Coleman Ivie and Marvin Bruce Ivie Joe. David loved the outdoors. He proudly served in the United States Army. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Pace Funeral Home 200 FM 350 North Livingston, Texas. A Celebration of Davids life will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 16, 2014 at Pace Funeral Home with Bro. Glen Mead officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Ivie, Stephen Krebs, James Washington and David Ivie. Military Honors will be presented by the VFW Post 8568 in Livingston, Texas.
