Funeral services for Thurman Ennis Minyard, 85 of Diboll, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday,September 1, 2006 at Pace Funeral Home, with Rev. Harold Isaacs officiating .
Mr. Minyard died on Tuesday, August 29, 2006. He was born on March 8,1921 and worked for Temple-White in Diboll as a truck driver. He was preceeded in death by his wife of 60 years, Bessie Walters Minyard and Granddaughter, Sheri Roberts. Survivors include his daughters, Mallie Roberts and husband Clint of Giddings, Barbara Craig and husband Bob of Lufkin, Wanda Hooker of Highlands.Sister, Betty Welch of Lufkin; Grandchildren Debbie Alexander and Jonathan; Stacie Jones, Christie Matcek and Kenny; Richard Weeks II; Shannon Craig, 15 Great grandchildren,2 Great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Burial will follow at Peebles Cemetery in Livingston. Pallbearers will be Randy Walters,Larry Walters,Larry Cook, Richard Week, Phil Garrettt, Robert Shipp. Honorary pallbearers will be Buddy Ship, Donnis Walters, Kenny Matcek, Jonathan Alexander, Chris Dube, and Erick Week.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 on Thursday at Pace Funeral Home. Contributions can be made to the American Heart Association in Angelina County.
