"I was so sorry to hear that Uncle Donnie had passed. I have not seen him in many years, but have kept up with him through my Dad Dave Smith and Jennean. I too have many happy childhood memories of Uncle Donnie and the travels our families had together. We went on several memorable vacations I especially remember the one to Colorado when we took the trailers and the motorcycles. What a time we had. Uncle Donnie was a lot of fun to be around. He was a very loving, caring uncle too. I know he was sick for a long time, and I hope that there is some solace in knowing that he is at peace now. I know he will be greatly missed by his wife Susan, all of his children, his family , and his friends. My thoughts are with you all."

"Im very sorry that i could not be with you at Donnies Service. We were very close because we were raise up together. I have many fond memories of times that we shared together. We went on vacations together, went camping together, played games together, and really enjoyed each other when our kids were young. We used to chase big dogs on our motorcycles in the country at lake Whitney. The dogs thought that they were supposed to chase us, but we got behind them an ran them down the road. Ha Ha Ha . It was great fun riding our bikes in the country. I dearly loved Donnie and will miss him very much Susan, I am very sorry for your loss, and if you need anything please call on me Jennean. I love you. Dave"
