"Dear Dorothy,
We are so sorry to hear about Clarences death. He was one of my favorite classmates at Livingston. He was always so kind and friendly. I am sorry we were not at the service. We did not read our email in time to know when the services were. Our prayers will be with you and your family in the days to come."

"This is a sad day for me. Clarence and I have been friends every since, at about eight years old, he rode his bicycle in front of our house while I was playing in the yard. We were playmates and companions until we left Livingston. Then, for several years after he settled in the Washington DC area my work took me to a town on the outskirts of DC. Each time, I would visit Clarence and sometimes stayed with him and his wife Dotty. For the last many years weve visited for hours on the phone.

I will miss him a lot. His passing will leave hole in my life."
