Norman Buddy Jefferson Barrett, born on April 24, 1933 in Garrison, Texas to Walter Barrett and Mollie Lunsford Barrett, passed away on December 25, 2013 at the age 80. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 40 years, Gloria children, Patricia Hopkins, Sharon Levy, Tommy Kerr, Ricky Barrett, Marc Kerr, Jimmy Barrett and Scott Kerr 18 grandchildren numerous great grandchildren other relatives and a host of friends.
Buddy retired in 1990 from Continental Can Company in Houston, Texas where he started work there when he was 18 years old. Buddy loved to fish, take care of his garden, chickens and cows. He coached all the boys baseball teams. Buddy loved being with his family. Buddy was a member of Big Sandy Baptist Church in Dallardsville, Texas. Buddy was known as a praying man.
Visitation will be held at Pace Funeral Home, 200 Fm 350 North, Livingston, Texas between 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, December 27, 2013. A Celebration of Buddys Life will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Pace Funeral Home with Pastor Irvin Mott and Pastor J.E. Murphy officiating. Pallbearers will be Buddys grandsons, Jimmy Barrett, Jeremy Barrett, Shaun Herren, Jeffrey Herren, Timothy Hopkins, Shannon Hopkins, Brian Hopkins, Michael Barrett, Kevin Barrett and Scott Thomas Kerr.
