"Mr. Bailey used to cut my hair back in the 1970s when I would come up from Houston to stay on weekends, and Summers. My Grandfather, and Father Charlie Hogue Sr. and Jr. would get their hair cut there as well. I loved the whole experience, and L.E. seemed to know everyone, and everything and as a kid, he put me at ease in the Barber chair. There are no real barbers anymore, he was one of best, and last. I will always remember him as a likable, pleasant Man. May God bless him, and his family always."

"I am just learning of the passing of Mr. Bailey, so sad to hear this and to let you know how much I thought of him. My dad and brother always got their haircut by him, daddy said no one cut his hair like L.E. And I always got a piece of gum, whether I was with them or just sticking my head in the door to say hello...I always got a piece of gum. But no matter where I saw him he always had a smile and a hug. He will be missed by many, especially us old timers. So sorry for your loss. Be in peace that he is now with our Lord and your mother. Love, Kerry Cassity"
