"I had the pleasure of meeting Lynn on Shay Mountain in Utah on a muzzleloader hunting trip. He was very friendly, humerous, and interesting on all of the hunts that I was able to enjoy with him, he will be mentioned when we convene our annual hunting camp. My sympathy goes out to his family for their loss of this man who enjoyed life to the fullest."

"Lynn was quite a flamboyant fellow we have been friends for over 40 years. For retiredformer Shell people Lynn did the Bright Spot interpretion on Prospect Cognac in 1974 excellent work that resulted in a 300 MMBOE Shell Oil discovery in 1000 feet of water considered deep water at the time. I express my sincere condolences to the Chenault family he will be missed at the biannual Shell Offshore reunions in Galveston."

"I had the privilege of knowing Lynn during the 80s while we were with Pecten International Shell in Houston. I remember Lynn as an open door type and one who assist any newbie. Although I wasnt a geophysicist, Lynn was always interested in my tales of adventure in places his group were exploring. I know he will be missed."

"Will miss Lynn a lot. He was my friend was my boss at Shell many years ago when we attacked the Utah Wyoming overthrust. With his usual humor he named my bunch Krater Raiders. Lynn Delbert Hix were the best support a bunch of field hands could have.
We shared camp fires in the Brooks Range the high country of Colorado. He was a good generous Feller.
Will toast him over the great divide, when the Lost Hunter Tribe gets together this fall.
