Mavis Marie Simon, 84 passed away Tuesday August 7, 2007 at her home surrounded by her family. Memorial services will be held Monday August 13, 2007 at 10:00AM in the Pace Funeral Home chapel.
Despite being blind for more than 40 years, Navis loved to read. She often listened to audio books for the blind over and over. She also loved to garden and her beloved dogs.
She is preceded in death by her husband John Simon, parents Edward and Pearl Miller Hichna.
Mavis is survived by her daughter Darlene Marie Bleser Blazer and her husband George, brother Robert Joseph Michna, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive her.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Huntsville, Texas
