Roy R. Nelson born April 27, 1913, in Wallis, Texas, passed away June 10, 2011 in Livingston, Texas at the age of 98. Roy was an Army and Navy veteran. He is survived by his daughter, Geraldine Slocum of Houston three grandsons one granddaughter three great grandchildren one greatgreat grandchild brother, Woodrow W. Nelson and wife Merle of Livingston sisters, Iona of Tyler, and Lurline Wilson of Montana. Mr. Nelson is preceded in death by his wife, Sybol Nelson brothers, Ray Nelson and R.D. Nelson and sister Dorine Eldridge. Graveside services were held Monday, June 13, 2011 at Bold Springs Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Pace Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
