Jim Sheffield born January 18, 1931 in Broadus, Texas to Abner Maybell Sanders Sheffield. He went to be with the Lord in Gatesville, Texas April 26, 2011 at the age of 80 years young. He loved the outdoors, and depending on the season, could be found together with his brother William fishing on the lake or river or hunting in the deep east Texas woods. He is survived by his daughters Linda Haynes and husband Greg of Gatesville, Texas, Trish Fincher and husband Baney of Santa Fe, Texas, Debbie Haynes and husband Gary of Kosse, Texas, and Crystal Zimmerer and husband Scott of San Antonio, Texas brother, Jimmy Weaver thirteen grandchildren 18 great grandchildren two greatgreat grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Jim is preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Kay Hinton granddaughter, Kimberly Slaughter, brothers William Sheffield, Ab Sheffield sister, Ruth Jordan. Visitation was held at Pace Funeral Home, Friday, April 29, 2011from 10 am till 11am with a funeral service starting at 11am.
