Archie Smedley, age 52, died April 23,2007. Funeral services will be held at the Pace Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, April 27,2007 at 2:00 PM, with the Rev. Howard Daniels officiating. Innterment will follow in Peebles Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 PM to 9:00 Pm.
Archie was born in Cleveland, Texas and was self employed as a handy man most of his life. He was a Jack of all Trades and loved everyone he met. He never met a stranger and loved to play cards and dominoes.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, F.M. and Lula Young Smedley. His sister Presila Smedley, Grandfather and Grandmother, Mr. Mrs. J.A. Young. He is survived by his sister Francis Thorne and spouse Robert of Goodrich. His nieces Mary Eaton of Goodrich, Sarina Voegeli of West Palm Beach, Fla, Ruby and spouse Mark Monteaux of Goodrich. His Great nieces and nephews; Heather Eaton, Chelsea Eaton, Jimmy Kayla Monteaux. One Great-great nephew, Justin Eaton. Special friends:Timothy Johnson, Joey Smith and Angel Miller.
