"I am very honored to have known Phil. He is truly the greatest man I have ever known. I looked up to him so much. Im so thankful and greatful for the memories that I have of him.
Growing up next door, he was always there to lend an ear or give the most admired advice. I remember him taking us to football games, going to the creek with us and teaching us how to mechanic. He could put on quite a show with his guitar, too. The gospel concerts he put on with his band were amazing, not to leave out his front porch pickin under his blue light.
He made such an impact on the lives of so many people, including mine. He was an inspiration, mentor and role model. He was like Elvis, Waylon and James Dean all rolled into one.
He was an honest man and would give you the boots off his feet.
I still cant believe that he is gone. His passing was very hard to take. I still grieve and miss him very much. My thoughts and prayers are with our family.

Respectfully,
Daniel Cain"
