L.D. Simpson, 76, went to be with the Lord, June 14, 2010 in Anahuac, Texas. He was born to Lloyd Dawson Simpson, Sr. and Dollie Jane Lollar Simpson, July 2, 1933, in Livingston, Texas. Mr. Simpson was a veteran in the United States Air Force having served 17 years.his loving family includes his wife, Virginia Simpson sons, Kevan Simpson, Roy Simpson and wife Cheryl daughters Pamela Skinner and husband George sisters, Etheldred Sissy Smith and husband Carlie Three grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. special aunt, Minnie Mae Emanuel.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd Dawson and Dollie Jane Simpson son, Brian Simpson sister, Betty Jean Prince.
Visitation was held Thursday, June 17, 2010 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Pace Funeral Home.
Celebration of L.D.s Life will begin 10:00 am Friday, June 18, 2010 at the Pace Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Orval Barger officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Rose Cemetery in Livingston, Tx. Pallbearers will be Chad Dillon, Chance Skinner, David L. Duff, Howard Smith, Terry White and Randal Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be H.S. McDaniel and Derrick Williams.
