Howard married Nancy on December 26, 1959, and they were married 56 years at her passing. He loved fishing and being outside in the yard, whether it be his own or helping someone else out. He was the most kind, generous person and never had a negative word to say about anyone. He will be remembered by always wearing his plain white T-shirt and blue jeans. In honor of that, all pallbearers will wear the same attire.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nancy Carol Dueboay, his son Michael Dueboay, and his siblings; Gene Dueboay, Donald Dueboay, Joyce Shaver, and Shirley Placker.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Michelle Brooks & husband Richard, five grandchildren; Jesse Dueboay, Amanda Dueboay, Ariel Arnett, Richard Brooks Jr., and Sabrina Brooks, 13 great grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Pace Funeral Home, 200 FM 350 N, Livingston, Texas 77351.
A Celebration of Howard's life will be held 10:00am, Friday, October 2, 2026, at Pace Funeral Home, with Brother Fred Huff officiating.
Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Brendyn Brooks, Richard Brooks, Jr., Daniel Arnett, Aiden Arnett, Gage Clark, Joshua Henderson, Joshua Henderson, Jr., and Drayton Henderson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Dueboay and Jesse Dueboay.
