David Wayne Cormier was born on July 15, 1969, in Orange, Texas, to Russel Ray and Julie Ann (Comeaux) Cormier. He passed away on July 13, 2026, in Baytown, Texas, at the age of 56.

David is survived by his beloved mother, Julie Comeaux Cormier; his children, Patrick Mautte and wife Bianca, and Judy Cormier; his brother, Stephen Cormier and wife Paulette; his cherished partner, Cindy Schoonover; his nieces and nephews, Ashley Cormier, Bridgette Watson and husband Brandon, Brittany Peirce and husband Jered, Larissa Cormier, and Cody Cormier and wife Kayla; his treasured grandchildren, Julian, Aniyah, Noah, Levi, Scarlett, and Elijah; along with many extended family members and a host of dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his father, Russel Ray Cormier; his son, Scottie Cormier; his brother, Daniel Cormier; and aunt, Kathy Comeaux Saylor.

David found great joy in life's simple pleasures. He was a simple man who loved spending time with those he cared about most. Whether he was gathered around a crawfish boil, competing in a barbecue cook-off, or simply enjoying the company of family and friends, David was happiest making memories with the people he loved.

An accomplished pool player, many would even call him a pool shark; David loved the game and especially enjoyed playing alongside his cherished partner, Cindy. Above all else, he treasured his family. He shared an especially close bond with his mother, Julie, who meant the world to him, and he cherished every moment they spent together.

Though his presence will be greatly missed, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
