He was born on July 14, 1953, in Silsbee, Texas, to James William and Allie Belle Nichol.
Mike is lovingly remembered by his wife, Sharon of Colmesneil; his children, Jeremy and Jessica Zelbst of San Antonio, Texas, Jerry and Rachel Aguirre of Greeley, Colorado, and Mike and Kortney Nichol of Silsbee, Texas.
He was a proud grandfather to Riley, Rani, Hudson, Tripp, Maddie, and Kashton - his grandbabies, who brought him endless joy. He would have given anything to hug and kiss them one more time.
Mike was a man who believed in hard work, in showing up for his family, and making memories that would last a lifetime. He took his family all over the world, making memories and teaching them the value of hard work, something they'll cherish forever.
He will be remembered for his famous stories - stories so good you never quite knew if they were true or not until you heard the punchline. He had a way of making people laugh, even in the hardest moments. If his lifelong career in pipe and engineering hadn't worked out, there's no doubt he could have made it as a comedian.
He leaves behind a lifetime of laughter, lessons, and love that will carry on through everyone that knew him.
A viewing will be held Thursday, March 26 from 5 to 9 PM at pace funeral home in Livingston Texas.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, March 27 at 2 PM at pace funeral home followed by a graveside service at Bluewater Cemetery in Livingston, Texas.
